Skulpturenpark Köln

Directly following the invitation she received to take part in KölnSkulptur #7, Bethan Huws remembered one of her old drawings from the late 1970s.  On it she recorded her idea of having a freestanding ladder reach vertically skywards. Decades later, this idea has now been carried out for the first time. A three-part, commercially produced aluminum ladder is extended its full length into the air so as to end level with the zoo bridge, while implying that it could go even higher.
